Sep 22, 2020 · What are your full specs? 4x8 is a bit harder on the IMC, but at the same speed and timings is ever so slightly faster due to interleaving. Would it be better for me to run 2x8gb at 3200mhz (16gb) or run 2x8 + 2x4 at 2133mhz (24gb). However, the time difference between 2x16 and 4x8 is so minute, so I would recommend going with the cheapest. So if you think my information would help, even though I don't have one of those fancy new Ryzen 3000, but I am rocking a 2700x, 4*Tridentz 8GB 3200 cl14 (checked, proper B-Die) and I put in some number from Ryzen dram calculator, and I am able to run 4 sticks at 3200cl14 stable-ly. Get yourself a 2x16 kit if you need 32gb. I heard many say 4x8 because the 5000 series cpu likes the 4 sticks more than 2 but then again my motherboard doesn’t really support quad channel. Love you guys Archived post. relax the CL (CAS) timing. I don't and probably won't upgrade RAM in the future. Not in the next 5-years at Apr 15, 2021 · For my new Ryzen Zen 3 system I am set on buying Crucial Ballistix RGB white DDR4-3600 CL16-18-18-38 DIMMs, with 32 GiB in total (if I can find them in stock -_-). sibso6ec
